The Connecticut Parachutists Skydiving club was established in 1962 and moved to the Ellington Airport in 1970. We are one of the oldest existing sky diving clubs in the country. For over 50 years we have promoted the sport of Skydiving to thousands of people world wide. We have been on the forefront of many of the modern training techniques as they have been developed over the years. CPI is known as the "Home of Champions," where skydivers come to learn and explore the possibilities they can achieve within our sport.
You don't have to be a champion to jump here... But you just might become one if you do!
What We Do?
We promote the Sport of Skydiving. Our goal is to give everyone a glimpse into the amazing sport of Skydiving and to show you how fun ans safe it can be. We have been training students to become licensed skydivers for over 50 years. From the early days of round parachutes to the modern day square parachutes, we have always been on the fore front of the sport. Many of our students have gone on to be World Champions and World record holders in 4 Way formation, Wingsuiting, CRW, and Head Down freeflying.
Why Choose Us
We are a not for profit club, so our focus is on promoting the sport of skydiving, not making big profits. All of our money goes back into the facility in the way of the most modern gear, training, and aircraft. Most of our Instructors have thousands of skydives and have been jumping and training for many years. Our focus is on you having the Safest and best time possible.
Many Dropzones are pop-ups, they grab a plane and some gear and do tandem jumps only. They usually last a year or 2 than move on. We have been here since 1970 and do all aspects of the sport.
Some come join in the fun and see why we have been doing this for over 50 years
